Products I’ve been using the longest

This post has got me all excited because I the products I’m going to be mentioning are products that I’ve really grown to love over the years!

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder – £3.99

This was the very first powder that I ever bought, I’ve tried a few other high street powders but I always revert back to this, I use shade 001 translucent but I have also used shade 003 peach glow. It’s long lasting and very affordable at just £4!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Mono Blush Live Pink – £3.99

This Blush was pretty much the first blush that I owned, it’s not a shade I regularly go to anymore but I do like the colour and I used to wear it whenever I wore makeup when I was at school. I LOVED it. I’ve hit pan on it and I’m not sure if I would repurchase it because I have so many nicer blushes now, but it’s super affordable and great for anyone starting out with makeup.

L’Oreal True Match Foundation – £9.99

I began using this around 4 years ago and it soon became my go to foundation, I wore it every day and the coverage was amazing. However they changed the packaging a couple of years ago and swear the formula changed as I had problems with it being really drying. I began using it again about a year ago and as long as I mix it with another foundation, I get great coverage and it’s not as drying anymore. They have a massive selection of colours for different skin tones and undertones which is really helpful, especially for a high street foundation!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – £4.19

A product I’ve been using for about 3-4 years. This concealer has amazing coverage and the lightest shade is brilliant for under my eyes. It’s great for covering blemishes but it doesn’t have the best colour range so I end up having to use the concealer first on any blemishes and foundation over the top so the area isn’t highlighted.

Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama eyeliner – £8.99

This gel eyeliner is a staple in my every day makeup! I literally use it every day and have repurchased it so many times that I have completely lost count, the eyeliner is very ‘black’ which is amazing, I hate black eyeliners that come out more grey, it lasts all day, it doesn’t flake off like many eyeliners that I’ve tried and it comes with its own little brush which I use to apply because it’s so easy to work with.

Maybelline mascaras-Various prices

I’m not going to pin point just one mascara because I have tried and tested multiple Maybelline mascaras and there’s only been one which I’ve not fallen in love with, I wrote a review here. Some that I’ve previously bought and enjoyed are The Falsies, and Colossal Cat eyes, my favourite at the moment is the famous Lash Sensational. I highly recommend trying out amazon for Maybelline mascaras, they are usually a lot cheaper than in store!

Benefit They’re real mascara – £20.50

I know I know, I mention this mascara so often, it’s in here….oh look it’s here too. But it’s great! I’ve been using it since I was 17 (3 years ago!!!!) so it has to be mentioned…again.

Real Techniques Brushes – Various prices

I jumped straight on the bandwagon when I was 17 and treated myself to a core collection kit. I absolutely adored this set and I used the hell out of that poor buffing brush. My collection soon grew rapidly and one brush that I really enjoy using is the blush brush, it’s a great shape for bronzing too!

So there’s the products I’ve been using the longest, what’s been a staple in your makeup bag since the beginning?

      1. I’m not sure what its called but its the one with the red top. The blue one made my skin all clumpy and it didnt look as healthy!xx

      2. The lasting finish 25 hour one? I have used that before and I did really like it but my local boots don’t stock it! I agree with the match perfection one, that one goes really patchy on my skin and oxidises almost straight away! Xx

  1. After I purchased the Rimmel powder I have not even bothered looking for another one ever since as it is so perfect for me. Same for the Loreal True match I’m shade 1N and I finally found a foundation that was light enough for me so this will be another important staple. But I have always struggled with concealers, the Collection was covered perfectly but went cakey on me and was never light enough and other ones which are light enough don’t cover.. sigh.. but I agree so much with the makeup classics

  2. I’ve literally used 90% of all of these myself and I can see why you’ve used them so long, they’re all such amazing products. Staples in my makeup bag would be real techniques brushes too, and my Sleek contour kit 🙂 clare xxx

    1. I also broke the packaging of my rimmel powder almost immediately, which was super annoying since I bought it for the purpose of on the go touch ups in my purse. Oh well! It’s a good product!

  3. Maybelline’s Colossal Mascara, Clean & Clear’s Deep Action Cleanser and Burt’s Bees chapstick in Pomegranate are some of my favorite staples.

  5. Nice post 🙂
I don’t know why everything in Poland is more expensive than in the UK or the USA… hahah. For example the cheapest powder costs about 10PLN; your Rimmel powder costed less than 4 pounds but in my country the same one costs about 15PLN! Poland is expensive, I think. It isn’t fair… haha.
I’m looking forward your next post! 🙂 ❤
